Congratulations!!!

We are so excited that Candace and Jeremy got engaged this weekend! We can't wait to welcome Jeremy into our family. We love you both!

Here's my most recent picture of the future Mr. and Mrs.! Special Note: Sam absolutely LOVES Jeremy, and always follows him around and wants to play with him. When Sam refers to anyone else, it is just auntie or grandma or grandpa, etc., but Jeremy is always "uncle Jeremy". It's the only actual name Sam says besides his own, so it is very exciting that Jeremy will officially be Sam's Uncle:-)

Hunting for Eggs!

Happy Easter!!! It was sooo much fun watching Sam hunt for Easter eggs this morning. He really got into it. He'd carefully place each one he found in the carton and then say "more" because he wanted to keep looking. The lucky little guy gets to do another Easter egg hunt at Grandpa and Grandma's house this afternoon too!

Dyeing Easter Eggs

On Friday night, my parents, my grandma, Candy, and Jeremy all come over for dinner, and then helped Sam decorate Easter eggs. He LOVED doing this.

We got a "Cars" themed egg dyeing kit, which included lots of "Cars" stickers. Sam loves Lightning McQueen and used all the McQueen stickers on this egg.

After the egg decorating, Sam was lucky enough to share a brownie with Grandpa Roy.

Ouch!

On our way to the park this afternoon, Sam and the sidewalk got into a fight. The sidewalk won.
At least he didn't cry too much afterwards - poor little guy...

"Scary"

With Easter on Sunday, we have mentioned the Easter Bunny several times this week. For those of you that read our post a couple weeks back about Sam's visit to the Easter Bunny, I think you might find it funny that every time we mention it, Sam's face gets very serious, and he says, "scary". We didn't teach him to say this, he just came to this conclusion on his own. Maybe he'll feel differently after the said scary figure drops off a few colorful eggs and a basket of goodies....we'll see!

Our New Floor!

A big thank you goes to Tony, Leo, Jason, John, and my dad for helping Peter install our new floor this weekend (I can't take any credit - Sam and I just spent a relaxing day hanging out with my mom and sisters). It looks great, and we love it.

Peter was flipping through the channels a couple weeks ago and came across a basketball game. Here is their conversation:

Sam: Ooohh! Football.
Peter: No, Sam. That's basketball.
Sam: Football.
Peter: No, that's called a basketball game because they are using a basketball.
Sam: (long pause) No. Football.

Sam then walked away. I guess he's got his mind made up! Tonight as the Twins home opener was on, Sam repeatedly said "song, ball game" because he wanted to sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game (click here for ball game song post).
