Our Little Walking Man

As mentioned in the previous post, Sam is now walking everywhere, and he is so proud of himself. I took a couple videos (see below), but they are already a few days old, and he's even better and more confident today than he was then.

Here I asked him to smile for the camera. He obliged!

Amy & Luke's Wedding

Amy & Luke's wedding day could not have been more beautiful. Both the wedding and the weather were perfect! Peter walked Sam down the aisle since he wasn't quite ready to do it on his own. Now, four days later, Sam is walking around the house like it's no big deal! Thanks to John and Amber for coming to pick up Sam at bedtime so Peter and I could stay until the end of the wedding. We appreciate it:-) My camera battery died once we got to the reception, so I don't have any pictures from that, but there are still plenty of pictures to see. Enjoy!

A chilly fall walk

The other morning we headed out for a chilly fall walk, and Sam refused to wear his hat, but for some reason, he didn't mind wearing mine! I love walking on the beautiful trails by our house, especially in the fall. Hopefully we can get in a few more walks before all the leaves fall off and the snow starts to fly!

Wedding Preparations!

Amy & Luke have been busy getting ready for their wedding. A few nights ago we had a little program assembly and place card making party. Sam was very into helping Luke and Jeremy with the programs since it involved the use of a hammer. It must be some of the Grandpa Roy coming out in him!

Pumpkin Festival

We went to the Pumpkin Festival at Gertens yesterday. Our first-ever blog post was about last year at this time, and the pictures were from the Pumpkin Festival. Below is a pic from last year, and then one from this year so you can see how Sam has grown!
Sam got lots of practice doing some one-handed walking with Dad. He's the ring bearer in the wedding this coming Saturday, but he's still working on his confidence when it comes to walking on his own. Daddy may be assisting him in the ring bearer role! He had a lot of fun looking at all the pumpkins, the fall decor, the animals in the petting zoo, and watching all the action.
He also got the chance to enjoy some carameled apples! He only had one apple slice, but he liked to continually dip it into the caramel and then just lick it off.

Getting tickled by Daddy!

Rainbow

Sam got to see his first rainbow on Tuesday after a full day of rainy weather. Thanks to Peter's mom for coming down to watch Sam for the day. He had so much fun with you!

Sam & Grandpa in the Pumpkin Patch

My parents have a mini pumpkin patch in their backyard, and a few weeks back when Sam was visiting, Grandpa carved Sam's name into a few pumpkins to save them for him. Here he is last week with his pumpkins. If you look close, you can even see his name on the front.

Much, much better!

We have been busy, busy, busy these last few days. I'll write more about that later. I just wanted to post a couple pics of Sam (at the request of Auntie Candace!) since he is now feeling much better after being sick last week. Here he is at the park and trying on his little tuxedo for Amy's wedding, which is in 12 days!!!
