Since Charlie seems to be a bottom-less pit when it comes to eating, it was very fitting to have a Hungry Little Caterpillar themed birthday. Though I cannot take credit for the idea (I found it online), I had SO much fun making his cake (and Sam helped by eating LOTS of green frosting). At age one, Charlie didn't really know what was going on, but I think he still had a great day. He got lots of cuddle time with both grandmas and both grandpas, he got to play with the bows on his presents (and got a whole new wardrobe!), and thoroughly enjoyed his first taste of sugar...and he doesn't actually turn one for two more days!

I LOVE how sweet he looks in this picture. It was an hour past nap time at this point, and he was SO tired but also happily content with his cupcake.

He looks sedated or something how cute. Just want to hug him. Grandma Kim
