I brought our purchases out to the car, and trucked back in into the store to retrace our steps. I was NOT happy to say the least, and Sam could tell. He said over and over again, "I hope we find my shoes so you are happy at me". I should have listened to him because I, of course, asked him where in the store he dropped them. He told me they were by the mommy shirts. Looking at the maternity shirts was the last thing we did there, so as I retraced my steps, it was the last place we looked (at this point I had accepted the fact that we were going to buy a new pair of shoes from Target). Of course, as soon as we got to the "mommy shirts," there they were, his two little shoes, laying on the floor right next to the sweater I had told him to stop pulling on just 20 minutes earlier. Whew! Sam then asked if I was "happy at him". I explained that while I was happy we found his shoes, he was to never take his shoes off in the store again. We'll see how that works out.
This afternoon, Sam insisted he take his nap on the floor instead of in his crib (because he says he is a big boy - a concept he is obsessed with these days). I told him we could try that, but if I came in just one time to tell him to go to sleep, then into the crib he would go. He was out cold in less than a minute. Maybe the transition to a big boy bed won't be too bad after all!

He sure is growing up fast! (Glad you found those shoes. I'm impressed he remembered that!)
Amy
I am glad you are happy at him again!
Oh my goodness...I don't want him in a big boy bed yet. He's growing too fast!
