1) As Peter was about to leave to run a few errands, I said "We are almost out of milk, could you pick some up?" Then Sam chimed in and said "Daddy, we are also out of bananas. Could you pick up some bananas too?" This was a fact. We were indeed out of bananas.

2) I asked Sam what he was going to give me for Mother's Day. His immediate response (with much enthusiasm), "A big glass of chocolate milk!" I can just imagine his thought process "hmm, what do I really like, oh, chocolate milk, that must mean that Mommy really likes chocolate milk too!"
