Student: (while pointing at his tooth) I think there's a cavity in there.
Me: Oh, no!
Student: After school, I'm going to get into a fight.
Me: (sounding alarmed) What do you mean?! Why! With who!?
Student: (in a matter-of-fact tone) With my tooth. I have to brush it to fight the cavity.
Me: (relieved) Ohhh! I hope you win that fight!
