Two Things

1. Can the air get any drier? This happens all day long.
2. Ok, ok, he needs a haircut.

-17 degrees

Sam and I were going to run some errands this morning. But after waking up to a temperature of -17 degrees (that's without taking the wind chill into account), I think we'll instead find a nice indoor activity to keep us busy here at home. Brrr!

In case anyone is wondering... the afternoon has warmed up to a balmy -4 degrees:-)

Karine's Shower

Karine is due to have her baby in just a couple of weeks! While she and Tom were home for the holidays (from Honduras!), we were able to see her and have a little baby shower. We look forward to the arrival of "Baby Lew"!

One Happy Kid

Apparently, Sam really enjoys reading this cookbook he pulled off the table!

Yet another Christmas celebration

The day we got home from Christmas up north, my family came over for pizza and Sam got, of course, more gifts. He definitely can't complain about being bored for at least the next two years!

Safari Animal World from Grandpa and Grandma D.

His toy car, pronounced by Sam as "caa" with a Boston accent, from Grandpa and Grandma L.

This toy box was built by my dad for me when I was young. As a Christmas surprise, he repainted it and my mom made a brand new cushion for it, and they gave it to Sam. This made Sam learn the word "open" very fast. He goes to it every morning and says "opee, opee".

Oscar likes it too:-)

Our Christmas in the North Woods

Since we are already a week into January, I'm a little behind, but here are some pictures from our time up north over the holidays. Sam LOVED spending time with his cousins Will and Wyatt. We are excited that they will be moving back to Minnesota this summer.
Sam and Wyatt (only three weeks apart!)

Giving Splash a kiss. Unlike Oscar, this dog will actually let Sam get close!
A family hug:-)

Can I open this one?!
Sam with Dad (pretending to know some Christmas Carols)
On the way home - tired from all the fun...
