...but at least in two days we will be in sunny Florida! We had a busy weekend doing some spring cleaning in the house and preparing for our trip. Sam seems to like to stand in his crib EVERY time we put him in there now!

Double Digits
That's right, Samuel is now in double digits - he is 10 months old as of yesterday! The army crawl has fallen wayside, and he usually only crawls on his hands and knees now. He's babbling so much more. He says mama and dada a lot, but we still don't think he actually knows what he is saying - it's fun to pretend though!

Samuel's First Easter
Samuel enjoyed his Easter basket at home (filled with goodies such as books, pjs, and a toy car)before we headed to church and then to my parents' house for Easter. Sam says thanks to Grandpa & Grandma D for the bath toy, and he says thanks to Grandpa & Grandma L for the Little Duck book!
After working with him for over three months, Sam suddenly knows how to respond when I say, "How big is Sam?!" Normally he would just smile when I said this and would never imitate my "So big" response. On Friday, it was like a switch was turned on, and now he enjoys this game all the time. It was especially cute after Easter dinner as Sam sat around the table with 13 other people. I said the magic words, he put his hands in the air, and then so did everyone else as they cheered. Sam was so excited about this he just kept throwing his hands up in the air just to watch everyone else do the exact same thing. It was adorable and pretty funny too. We think he thought he was King of the table or something!

Saturday
On Saturday we took a little road trip with my family to Mankato to visit Reed for his birthday. Sam enjoyed the trip with Auntie Amy and Auntie Candy in the back seat entertaining him the whole way there! We went out to eat for some Mexican food and enjoyed a couple games of bowling. Sam didn't get in an afternoon nap (except very briefly in his carseat at the bowling alley!), but he was in great spirits the entire day. I think he was just glad to get out of the house!

Growing up fast...
This past weekend was a big one for our little kiddo. It was like he was growing up right before our eyes. His second tooth popped through. He started mimicking whatever Grandpa Roy was doing, clapping, touching his ears, patting the top of his head. It was pretty cute! He also has started crawling on his hands and knees, though this is still sporadic. The biggest thing though, is he can now use furniture to pull himself up to a standing position, and now he wants to do this ALL the time. He's pretty proud of it when it happens too. Along with this, he is also cruising along the furniture and attempting to crawl up stairs. Needless to say, he's keeping us very busy!
You can kind of see his two little teeth in this one!

Why buy expensive toys!
Peter's co-worker sent him this video (you will need audio to get the full effect). It was so funny we just had to share it with you!
Also, congratulations to our friends, Sara and Micah, who welcomed little Lucy into the world yesterday!!!

More Samuel Pictures
First of all, a big thanks goes to my cousin, Jennifer, for watching Sam all day on Thursday while I did some classroom observations. THANK YOU!
Now for some pictures. Here is Sam sporting a mohawk during bathtime, enjoying his new favorite beverage, and having some play time on Friday afternoon. We hope you are all having a great weekend!
